A microcomputer with WiFi function is powered by battery, and temperature, humidity and weight of the beehive are monitored 24 hours. The temperature and humidity sensor uses a 6mm thin plastic tablet case, and the weight sensor uses a health meter housing, which keeps component costs from several to a dozen dollars.
The sensor data are transfered to the server and are stored in database continuously, and the health condition of bees can be monitored remotely by usinga a smartphone. In order to reduce power consumption and extend battery life, the sensor modules support a deep-sleep mode, in which the microprocessor is suspended during the iterval of data measrurements. The weight sensor has adjustment function. The weight sensor has a calibration function. |
